Pulled off the GPS Proposal
The actual proposal was back in 2018, and she had no idea until the end. We now go back and re-run the route each year.
Here's how I pulled it off: The run club we met at announced a special "hash house harriers" run. There were piles of flour every 50 feet or so, but some intersections had a set of arrows (which way) decisions. If we picked "wrong" we'd have to run to the end of the path and see my chalk X and have to turn around. I wrote "Check your GPS" on the pavement at the end and only then did she realize it. Ran the whole thing with the ring.
